Annetta "Annie" L. Jackson

Annetta L. “Annie” (Gentry) Jackson, 68, of Bargersville, IN passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 surrounded by her children.

She was born April 26, 1958 in Beech Grove, IN to Paul Edward Gentry and Martha Ann (Cowden) Gentry. Annie married Graydon Ross “Grady” Jackson on August 24, 2014 at the family residence in Bargersville, IN; he preceded her in death on May 4, 2026.

She attended Union Elementary School and was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

Annie from 1996 until 2016 had been the school nurse at Union Elementary School and later also serving as school secretary and a bonus mom to all those who attended there.

She was a member of Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown, IN.

Annie enjoyed gardening, working in her greenhouse and spending time with her family. She never met a stranger and was the life of any gathering.

Survivors include her children Beth Morris(Justin) of Bargersville, IN, Ben Morris (Claire) of Bargersville, IN, Megan Morris (John) of Bargersville, IN, Christopher Morris of Greenwood, IN, her grandchildren Maggie Morris, Arlo Clarkson, Everett Clarkson, Owen Clarkson, her sister Sue Holmes (Ron) of Nineveh, IN, brothers Mike Gentry (Debbie) of Greenwood, IN and Phillip Gentry (Madelyn) of Franklin, IN, stepchildren Chad Jackson (Erin) of Yorktown, IN, Erin Ailstock (Kevin) of Upland, IN and Erika Knuckles of Muncie, IN, step grandchildren Blake Green (Miranda), Bailey Cooper (Sean), Jackson Ailstock (Emma), Braylin Ailstock, Raegan Jackson, Kaid Jackson, Baker Knuckles, Bryten Knuckles, a step great granddaughter Hazel Cooper

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Pastor Kevin Whitaker will conduct a celebration of life service on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/annettajackson.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 4PM until service time at the mortuary.
