Obituary

Betty Lou (Wiley) Jones, 83, of Whiteland, IN passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 1, 1941 in Connersville, IN.

Betty was a 1960 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, IN and the Central Beauty College in Indianapolis, IN.

For over 30 years, she proudly owned and operated B Expressive Salon and Day Spa in Whiteland, IN, creating a place of beauty, care, and connection.  One of her greatest joys was having her family work alongside her, building not just a business, but a legacy of love and community.

Betty was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis where she was an active member of the hospitality committee, Bible study fellowship, nursery, ladies luncheon, and Bible Study Journaling.  She also was a volunteer for CASA as a child advocate in Johnson County.

Betty was a beautiful woman, sweet, kind, and devoted to her family, which meant everything to her. She also loved scrapbooking, flowers, outdoors, camping and traveling.

She married Richard Jones on July 21, 1962 in Indianapolis, he survives.  Also surviving are her children Terri Hollon (Rick) of Franklin, IN, Thomas Jones of Greenwood, IN and Traci Bringle of Whiteland, IN, seven grandchildren Jessica VanDeventer (Curtis), Eric Hollon, Morganne Miller (Austin), Jacob Jones (Kendra), Kristina Dougherty (Eric), Amber Boltjes (Thomas), Alex Myslinski, six great-grandchildren, a brother Tim Pool (Joanie) of Plainfield, IN and her fur baby Lilly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Helen Irene (Saters) Pool, and brothers Meredith Wiley, Larry Wiley, and Mike Wiley.

Pastor Toby Johnson will conduct a service on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 4PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/bettyjones.  Friends may call Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 3PM until service time at the mortuary.
