Betty A. (Raufeisen) Walters, 90 of Mooresville, IN and formerly of Greenwood, IN passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at Franciscan Health Mooresville.
She was born September 19, 1934 in Birdseye, Crawford County, Indiana to Henry Frank Raufeisen and Veronica Mary (Schlachter) Raufeisen. Betty married Thomas Glenn Walters on October 7, 1952 in Jasper, IN; he preceded her in death on August 22, 2009.
Betty was a loving homemaker. She also had worked in the office at the Amity Sale Barn in Amity, Johnson County, Indiana for several years.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood where she served as a greeter.
Betty enjoyed crocheting and making lap blankets and donating them to nursing homes. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading and playing cards.
Survivors include her daughter Terry Teverbaugh and her husband Rick of Mooresville, IN, granddaughters Trina Black (Dennis) of Greenwood, IN and Tracy Bassett (Rich) of Fishers, IN, great-grandchildren Alyssa Shillings (Jonah), Kate Black, Ty Black, Keira Bassett, Drew Black and Alexandria Bassett, soon to be great-great grandchild Nellie Shillings, sisters Shirley Wright of Greenwood, IN, and Marge Kendall of Indianapolis, IN, and a son-in-law Joseph M. Stambro of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sue Ann Stambro, brothers Albert E. Raufeisen and Roy Junior Raufeisen, and brother-in-laws Willis Wright and Bob Kendall.
Pastor Chris Philbeck will conduct a service on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/bettywalters. Friends may call Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 11AM until service time at the mortuary.
Entombment will follow the service at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
