Brenda Joyce Martin was born on December 14, 1939 in Amity, Johnson County, IN to Hubert E. Brown and Grace B. (Durbin) Brown.

She attended Shelbyville High School and graduated from House of James Beauty College, receiving her degree in cosmetology.

She married Kenneth James King.  Their union produced five children and they divorced in 1980.  She married William H. Martin in 1993.

Brenda owned Brenda's Beauty Salon.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Franklin, IN, Greenwood Moose Lodge in Greenwood, IN and the German American Klub in Indianapolis, IN.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, a son Andrew King, and a grandson Christopher Lane.

She is survived by her three daughters Vicky Lane, Tammara King and Amanda Pieroni, one son Brian King, one brother Garry Brown, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, cousins and friends.
