Candie Jo
Turner
November 14, 1970 — April 20, 2025
Franklin
Candie Jo Turner, born November 14, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and presence of her children and grandchildren as she took her final breath—fighting with unwavering strength until the very end.
Candie was the daughter of the late Clayton Richard Canter and Betty Jane Canter (Price), and beloved sister to Richard Canter and Jason Canter. She was a devoted and loving mother to Jesse (Shelly) Turner, Jeremy Turner, Kristen Turner, Amanda (Tyler) Houchin, Alexis (Jacob) Hauer, Nathaniel (Kayla) Turner, and Sarah (Nicholas) Blackard. Her legacy continues through her eight beautiful grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Yaya" and "Gamma."
Candie's life was one of boundless love, resilience, and deep devotion to her family. Her gentle spirit, sense of humor, and warm heart will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived with passion, gave with generosity, and loved without limit.
As the quote by David Ellsworth beautifully captures: "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."
