Carol Miller, age 72, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on March 19, 2026. She was born on December 31, 1953 in Franklin, IN to Morris and Leonora Miller, and spent her life bringing kindness, creativity, and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Carol was an active and beloved member of her community. She attended Gateway ARC of Johnson County from 1982 to 2020, where she formed lasting friendships and touched countless lives. Throughout her life, Carol worked at several local organizations, including NSK, KYB, Hickory Creek Nursing Home and Earlywood Education. In each role, she was known for her dedication, her warmth and her steady presence. She had a gift for finding happiness in simple pleasures. Carol loved spending time with friends and especially enjoyed bowling, with the family bowling league holding a special place in her heart. She was happiest when creating—painting, ceramics, and crafts of all kinds filled her days with color and purpose. Her love of flowers and birds added beauty to her world and to those around her.
Carol is survived by her siblings Merrill Miller (Kim) of Peoga, IN, Terry Miller (Donna) of Trafalgar, IN, Chelsea Miller (Becky) of Trafalgar, IN and Wanda Miller Smith (Mel) of Trafalgar, IN and Beverly Hutton of Morgantown, IN, several nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she shared so freely. Her life was one of kindness, creativity, and connection. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
She was preceded by her parents and a sister Regina Brice. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Services/The ARC of Johnson County, P.O. Box 216, Franklin, IN 46131.
