Carolyn Sue Stropes, 82 of Bargersville, IN passed away Wednesday October 12, 2022 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, IN.  She was born November 30, 1939 Perry Township, Indianapolis, IN  to James and Marilyn (Paddock) Aldrich.  She married McKim "Kim" Stropes November 1, 1958, he survives.

She was a 1958 graduate of Center Grove High School.

Sue was a member of First Christian Church in Bargersville where she had been a church choir member, former deacon and was involved in many of the church fish fry's and helping in providing funeral meals.  She was a loving and dedicated to her family.

Survivors include her husband McKim "Kim" Stropes of Bargersville, IN, her children Kim A. Stropes (Tami) of Shelbyville, IN, Steven J. Stropes DVM (Kelli) of Trafalgar, IN, Jeff S. Stropes (Tonya) of Martinsville, IN and Gregory S. Stropes (Valerie) of Morgantown, IN, daughter in laws Alisha "Ali" Stropes of Bargersville, IN and Dena D. Stropes of Trafalgar, IN, grandchildren Skylar Stropes (Marla), Samantha Scott (Jesse Brammer), Brad Stropes (Allison), Nicole Chapman (Clinton), Nathan Stropes (Karlea), Forrest Stropes, Kaitlyn Stropes, Hunter Stropes (Kacey), Cody Stropes (Sonya), Kyle McDonald (Breanna), Michael McDonald (Chelsea), Seth Hagan (Cass), Danielle Dickerson, Alex Hagan, great grandchildren Sawyer, Presley, Rylan, Austin, Kylee, Logan, Mac, Baron, Kevin, Keegan, Clara, Rosalea, Remi, Loki, Serenity, Jasmine, Ellie, Mia, Gavin, Molly, Layla, Brady, Lila, Aiden, Harley, Ainsley and Liam, sisters Sherrel Legan (Tom) of Singer Island, FL and Brenda Hess of Martinsville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kimberly Sue Stropes in 1960, two sons Tom S. Stropes on July 28, 2019 and Kevin J. Stropes on January 21, 2013, two brothers Jerry D. Aldrich on October 25, 2016 and Michael L. Aldrich on September 6, 2001, and granddaughters Autumn Joy Stropes and Ashlynn Kimberly Stropes.

Pastor Burt Brock will conduct a service on Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com .  Friends may call Monday October 17, 2022 from 3PM until 8PM at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
