Carolyn Sue (Eggleston) Orme, age 104, of Greenwood, IN passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Greenwood Village South Pavilion.
She was born December 8, 1920 in Toledo, Illinois to Charles and Dorsa (Duensing) Eggleston.
Carolyn attended Eastern Illinois State Teachers College now known as Eastern Illinois University.
From 1992 until 2000, Carolyn had been employed at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. She previously had worked at American States Insurance.
She had attended the Community Church of Greenwood. She enjoyed music, playing tennis and golf, and watching all types of sports. Carolyn especially loved spending time with and helping her family.
Survivors include her daughters Susan J. (Neil) Helgeson of Auburn, CA, Sandra J. (Herb) Taylor of Venice, FL, and Sara A. (Tom) Dyer of Venice, FL; and her 8 grandchildren: Samantha Russell (Ohan) Megrin, Jennifer Helgeson (Ben) Egli, Justin (Brittany) and Adam Dyer, Stephen (Ashley), David (Tammy), Joshua (Chelly) and Peter (Kaleigh) Orme; eleven great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in law Sue A. (Christena) Orme of Berwyn, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jean Clark and her son Edward Dean Orme.
Pastors Darrell Miller and Jacob Zerkel will conduct a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12 Noon at Center Church Indy located at 5445 Bluff Road in Indianapolis, IN. Visitation is from 10AM until service time at the church. A private family service will take place at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
