Damon Eugene Duncan, 65, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born May 10, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to David A. "Dave" Duncan and Mary Ann (Deem) Duncan. He married Teresa Lynn (Boone) Duncan on June 8, 1997 in North Salem, IN, she survives.
Damon had been a supervisor for JTB Contractors in Franklin, IN for 25 years and retiring in 2026.
He had been a firefighter for the White River Township Fire Department in Johnson County, IN from 1979 until 1998.
Damon enjoyed fishing, cooking, storytelling and working the annual Strawberry Festival for the White River Township Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife Teresa Lynn (Boone) Duncan of Indianapolis, IN, his daughter Deidre Duncan of New Palestine, IN, stepchildren James R. Stonebraker III of Indianapolis, IN and Emily Fountain of Shelbyville, IN, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his siblings David Michael "Mike" Duncan of Ft. Wayne, IN, Deborah Wallace (Bruce) of Indianapolis, IN, Donald Duncan (Monika) of Bargersville, IN and Denise Hurst of Acton, IN, a brother-in-law Jeff Sego of Franklin, IN and sister-in-law Cathy Boone Black (Bill) of Westfield, IN.
His parents, a sister Darlene Sego and brother-in-law Roger Hurst preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 6PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/damonduncan.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 4PM until service time at the mortuary.
