Darvel "Pudy" Buck, 79, of Franklin, IN, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was taken care of by the family of Franklin Meadows.  She was born to the late Walter and Lorene Harris on August 27, 1943, in Heltonville, IN.  She married her late husband Wendell "Bufford" Buck, on October 3, 1959.  Together Bufford and Pudy had a daughter; Katy and two sons; Wendell and Johnny.

She attended Heltonville Schools.  She worked a long 32 years as a Housekeeper at Franklin College.  Pudy enjoyed spending time with her family.  She enjoyed working out in the garden, planting, or picking vegetables.  She enjoyed spending time outside or going for a ride through the country.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bufford, parents Lorene & Walter, brothers, Dee and Donald Harris, sisters, Delphia Lawson and Doris May, daughter-in-law, Angela Atwood, son-in-law, David Long, and great-great granddaughter Tinslee Kutruff.

She is survived by her daughter Katy Long and two sons, Wendell Buck and Johnny (Lucinda Sneed-Mcmillian) Buck; her grandchildren, Shawn (Tami) Long, Sara (Terry Kutruff) Buck, Craig (Michelin) Buck, Haley (J.T.) Painter and Tyler Buck,

Great-grandchildren; Ginger (Randy) Perry, Cole (Heidi) Long, Addison Buck, Elizabeth (Lilly) Buck, Jesslyn Nixon, Terry Kutruff III, Nora Buck, and a special niece Vicky (Mark) Hunter, along with many great-great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 11AM to 2PM.  A Celebration of Pudy's life will follow the visitation at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South Morton Street in Franklin, IN.  Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
