Dennis C. Houchin, 63, of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.  He was born March 25, 1958 in Sumter, South Carolina to Romie and Janice (Peters) Houchin.  He married Debbie L. (Picklesimer) Houchin on August 26, 1979 at Franklin Memorial Christian Church in Franklin, IN, she survives.

He was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

Dennis had been a computer programmer for Patriot Products in Franklin, IN for twelve years.

He attended The Light Church in Bargersville, IN.  He was a Chevrolet Corvette admirer.

Survivors include his wife Debbie L. (Picklesimer) Houchin of Franklin, IN, two daughters Danae A. Houchin of Franklin, IN and DeAndra B. Parrott (Cody) of Franklin, IN, four grandchildren Garon Sanders, Lacey Parrott, Brooklyn Williams and Audrey Parrott, two brothers and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Reverend Ron Sodrel will conduct a service on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com dennis-houchin.  Friends may call Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12 Noon until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
