Donald Joseph Brown passed away suddenly at his home on May 2, 2026. Born April 11, 1973 in Indianapolis to Carl and Sara (Wainscott) Brown, he graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1991. He worked at Koorsen Fire and Security for 16 years as a Senior Security Salesman.

He lived loudly, loved deeply, and left a mark that will never fade.

He was the kind of man who lived life in motion—always on the go, always chasing the next moment worth remembering. A dedicated coach, he poured his heart into every team, every player, and every lesson, leaving an impact that reached far beyond the game.

He had a deep love for the beach, where he enjoyed wading in the water and soaking up the sun. It was one of the few places that could slow him down, even if only for a little while. He also loved music and the energy of Nashville, where he could take in the sound and the moment. Still, his competitive spirit never rested. You could see it in the way he coached, the way he lived, and even in the countless late-night Call of Duty matches, he played with unmatched intensity. When he got into a game, everyone knew—his volume carried through the house, waking his son's friends and sometimes even echoing out into the street. It made you feel like you were right there in the middle of the battle. It was loud, passionate, and completely him.

His competitiveness carried into his work as well, where he was always striving to outdo his prior year's quota. He was a multiple-time Top Security Enterprise Salesman, consistently pushing himself to exceed expectations. He would often banter with co-workers when someone said they were going to do better than him, always turning it into friendly competition that drove everyone around him.

In his younger years, he was active in multiple sports, competing in a variety of athletics that helped shape his lifelong love of competition and teamwork.

He was an avid bowler, also known as "Thee Donnie Brown", where he met some of his greatest friends, and he played and coached on countless softball teams over the years. He enjoyed working on the house, getting to know people while sitting at the bar, and his constant watching of Fox News. He loved having multiple TVs going so he could keep up with all his favorite sports, and he enjoyed playing corn hole whenever he had the chance. His backyard was his sanctuary, a place he took pride in, and he also loved traveling and making memories on the road.

He was a familiar face at his favorite spots—Tried and True, Ruth's Chris, B-Dubs, Ale Emporium, Ricky T's, and his favorite Mexican restaurants—places where laughter was loud, stories were shared, and he was often the one insisting on picking up the tab. He never let you pay for a drink, not because he had to, but because that was simply who he was—generous, thoughtful, and always looking out for his people.

And if you knew him well, you likely remember his signature playful antics—like the strange little "bug" noises he'd make with his fingers by your ears just to get a laugh or catch someone off guard. It was those small, unexpected moments that made him unforgettable.

To know him was to be blessed. He brought energy, loyalty, humor, and heart into every relationship, leaving behind a legacy that will be felt for years to come. Though he is gone, his presence remains in every story told, every laugh shared, and every life he touched. What he gave to others did not end with his passing—it continues to live on in the people who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is not only what he accomplished, but the love, laughter, and spirit he left behind.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Debra "Debbie" (Anderson) Brown; his sons, Dillon Brown and Christopher Rogers; his parents, Carl Ray Brown and Sara (Wainscott) Brown; his brothers, Carl (Janice) Brown, Jerry "Pete" (Missy) Brown, Charlie (LeAnn) Brown, and Dan (Angie) Brown; and his sister, Connie Laws. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: Ronnie Brown, Sara Brown, Emily (Sam) Fabiano, Caitlin Aynes, Andrew Laws, Josh (Hannah) Brown, Brittany (Will) Chavez, Derrick Brown, Ashley (Eli) Kean, Kyley (Nolan) Lewis, Clayton (Nicki) Brown, Paige (Cody) Stout, Sierra (Josh) Hall, and Aussie Brown, along with many great-nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.

Celebration of Life will be held May 16, 2026 from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm at RFD Franklin Event Center located at 55 W. Madison St., Franklin, IN.

He will be missed beyond words and remembered beyond time.
