Donald Lee Roberts, 67, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away on May 8, 2025 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis; IN. He was born on August 15, 1957 in Franklin, IN. Donald dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his community and country.  He was a proud member of the Army National Guard, embracing the discipline and camaraderie that military life fostered.

Professionally, Donald was deeply rooted in agricultural work, having farmed with Bright Farms for 25 years.  His commitment to community safety was evident through his service with the Bargersville Fire Department, where he held multiple ranks, including Chief in 1988.  He also contributed to the Whiteland Fire Department, further demonstrating his dedication to public service.

Donald was a loving father and grandfather, known for his nurturing and supportive nature.  He enjoyed a life filled with outdoor activities, particularly hunting and fishing, which mirrored his love for nature and the outdoors.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Kim Miller (Darryl) of Bargersville, IN and Ashlie Farrand of Greenwood, IN; his brother, Nick Farrand of Morgantown, IN; his son, Jeremy Roberts of Whiteland, IN; and his grandsons, Gabriel and Asher Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Roberts, his mother, Mary (Nelis) Farrand and a son Joshua Roberts.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on May 24, 2025, at Woodside Community Church, 1811 S. Morgantown Rd., Greenwood, IN.  His life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a dedicated service man, a committed community member, and a loving family man.
