Donald Scott "Donnie" Sego, 37, of Franklin, IN passed on the evening of August 29, 2025, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by his loved ones.

Donnie was born March 12, 1988 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN to Jeffery Scott "Jeff" and Darlene Louise (Duncan) Sego.  Donnie married his wife, Becca (Lane) Sego on June 18, 2011 in Greenwood, IN and she survives him along with their two daughters, Kaylin and Anna Sego.

He is also survived by his father, Jeffrey "Jeff" Sego of Franklin, IN, brother and sister-in-law Jon and Savannah Sego of Franklin, IN, paternal grandmother Lillian K. (Gosnell) Sego Clarke of Franklin, IN, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Cheri Lane of Franklin, IN, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rachel and Chad Fowler of Franklin, IN, Stacie Lane of Whiteland, IN, and Ray and Lyndsey Lane of Franklin, IN, 2 nieces, 7 nephews, 3 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Donnie was proceeded in death by his mother Darlene Louise (Duncan) Sego, his maternal grandparents David Duncan and Mary Ann (Deem) Duncan, paternal grandfather Donald Reece Sego, his uncle, Roger Hurst and his niece, Audrey Sego.

Donnie was a dedicated employee of Indiana 811 for 15 years where he was known for his dedication, warmth, and genuine care he showed to those around him. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted family man, a steadfast friend, and someone whose kindness and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone he met.  He loved hosting get-togethers for his friends and family making everyone around him laugh.  He loved seeing those around him succeed and celebrating their triumphs.  He was his daughters' biggest fan and loudest cheerleader!

Pastor Bryan Ries will conduct a service on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/donaldsego.  Friends may call Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary and Friday from 10:30 AM until service time.  Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of Donnie's daughters Kaylin and Anna and may be made: checks payable to Becca Sego and may be given at the mortuary and mailed to Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) Franklin, IN 46131.
