Donna J. (Wise) Voiles, 86, of Franklin, IN passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.

She was born July 3, 1938 at Coleman Hospital in Indianapolis, IN to Thomas Jerald Wise and Flossie Marie (Parmerlee) Wise.  She married H. Melvin "Sonny" Voiles on May 13, 1956 at the Trafalgar United Methodist Church in Trafalgar, IN; he preceded her in death on August 24, 2010.

Donna was a 1956 graduate of Trafalgar High School.

She had been a school secretary for West Grove Elementary and Center Grove Elementary schools in Greenwood, IN for many years.  She later had been a secretary for the Perry Township Schools in Indianapolis, IN.

Donna was a member of Trafalgar Global Methodist Church.

She loved to travel including many trips to Venice, Florida, Africa, China, Canada, Greece, Mexico and several cruises.  Donna volunteered at the Indianapolis Zoo, adult tutor at the Center Grove Community School Corporation elementary schools, the USO at Camp Atterbury, Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community and the gift shop at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her daughter Cristi Heller (Mark) of Bradenton, FL, her son Curt Voiles (Lisa) of Whiteland, IN and her granddaughter Jory Sejdiu of Indianapolis, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Willu C. (Wise) Martin.

Pastor Doug Bohall will conduct a service on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/donnavoiles.  Friends may call Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 9:30 AM until service time at the mortuary.  Entombment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
