Earl Walter Wall, 83, of Greenwood, IN passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.

He was born April 26, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to Claude Ventrus Wall and Iva Christine (Fletcher) Wall.  He married Dixie L. (Fleming) Wall on June 24, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN, she survives.

He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and received his associate's degree in computer programing from I.U.P.U.I. in Indianapolis, IN.

Earl was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War from 1963 until 1969 with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He had worked as a computer programmer and managed purchasing procurement for Rolls-Royce (formerly General Motors Allison) for 40 years retiring in 2004.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, IN where he had served as church treasurer and had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Franklin Memorial Christian Church, and Grace Baptist Church.  Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and golf.  His joy in life was his wife Dixie, his two children, six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Dixie L. (Fleming) Wall of Greenwood, IN, his son E. Bradley Wall (Angie) of Camby, IN, his daughter Shannon R. Linville (JC) of Franklin, IN, grandchildren Michael Linville of Franklin, IN, Jake Wall (Emily) of Whiteland, IN, Wyatt Linville (Taylor) Whiteland, IN, Victoria Sherman (Bret) of Westfield, IN,  Maverick Linville (Emma) of Salem, IN, Anna Linville of Franklin, IN, and great-grandchildren Rosalee Linville, Jedd Linville and Mavis Linville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pattie L. Thomas, a brother Vernon Walls, and a great-granddaughter Vivian Linville.

Pastor Don Thie will conduct a service on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/earlwall.  Friends may call Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 10AM until the 1PM service time.

Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN with full military honors being conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and the Franklin American Legion Post 205 Honor Guard.
