Elizabeth Amelia "Amy" Harter, 76, of Trafalgar, IN passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. She was born August 24, 1949 in Clermont, IN.

Amy was a graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. Amy was a manicurist in Carmel, IN for several years. She had a beautiful eye for color that showed in her career, her style, and in her abstract paintings. Amy had a great love for all her dogs.

Amy married Charles Eugene "Chuck" Harter on October 24, 1997 in Indianapolis, IN, he survives. Other survivors include her children Lindsay Rochford of Santa Barbara, CA, Eric Rochford (Kaiti) of Carmel, IN, and her step-children Lisa Stinger (Brian) Franklin, IN, Mya Harter, (Josh Effler) of Brownsburg, IN, Crissy Hershberger (Adam) of Carmel, IN and Scott Harter, and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Bryan Newman and Elizabeth (Garner) Newman.

Services will be private.
