Erlinda Reyes Chavez 73 of Sylmar, CA, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at her residence in Franklin, IN.

Linda, loving mother and Nana, was born November 18, 1951 in Ray, AZ to Santos Cruz Chavez and Jane (Acevez) Chavez.

Erlinda had been a customer service representative for Anthem Blue Cross in Woodland Hills, CA and formerly had worked as an assembler and attendance supervisor for General Motors in Van Nuys, CA.

Linda enjoyed sitting outside soaking up the sun while listening to her favorite music and playing candy crush. Her favorite pastime was going out to breakfast with her family.

Survivors include her daughters Avelina Kaplan (Jeffrey) of Sebring, FL and Jessica Hensley (Mark) of Franklin, IN, her grandchildren Jesse Reyes (David Krinsky), Cristian Navas, Natasha Virgil (Johnathan), Tristan Hensley, Jordan Hensley, Danielle Hensley, Cesar Kaplan and Owen Kaplan, great grandchildren Elijah Virgil, Grayson Hensley, Sky Virgil and Cruz Virgil, her brother Michael Chavez (Susan) of Los Angeles, CA, sisters Lolly Pantoja (Enrique) of Sylmar, CA and Terrie Chavez (Ruben) of Sylmar, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesus Reyes Jr. and a brother Santos Chavez.

A celebration gathering will take place on November 23, 2024 at the family residence in Franklin, IN.
