Everett Charles Parrish, 74, of Franklin, IN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community.
He was born July 29, 1951 in Franklin, IN to Leonard Parrish and Verdie (Garrett) Parrish.
Everett was a proud graduate of Greenwood High School class of 1970. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for six years, a period of his life that reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment.
Everett began his career with Brulin Chemical Company in Indianapolis, IN where he worked for several years before relocating to Arizona.
Throughout his life, he also called Florida and Nebraska home before returning to his roots in Indiana. After returning, he was employed by Pipe Inc. in Greenwood where he worked until his retirement.
Everett will be remembered for his strong work ethic and quiet strength. Though he lived in several states throughout his life, Indiana always remained his home in his heart.
He is survived by his two sons Kris Parrish and Brett Parrish, one daughter Ashley Parrish, several grandchildren, his sister Bonnie Meier (John) of Greenwood, IN. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Parrish and Verdie (Garrett) Parrish, sisters Helen Hall, Barbara Rynolds and Mary Heldman, brothers Michael Parrish and Wayne Parrish.
A private family service will be conducted with military honors being conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and the Greenwood & New Whiteland Honor Guard with inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery.
Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
