Frank Harold Marshall, 88, of Franklin, IN and formerly of Whiteland, IN passed away Friday, January 3, 2025.
He was born September 21, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Thaddeus Harold Marshall and Cora Mae (Riley) Marshall. Frank married Sally Ann (McGrew) Marshall on November 15, 1975 at Union Christian Church in Franklin, IN; she preceded him in death on January 16, 2015.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Frank retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic control supervisor at the Indianapolis International Airport in 1986 after several years of service.
He was a member of the Columbus Area Railroad Club and was an avid HO model train's collector. He was a member of the National Muzzleloaders Association in Friendship, IN and was an avid wood craftsman making many different items.
Frank was also a former member of Providence Christian Church in Johnson County, IN.
Survivors include his children Steven Marshall (Frances) of Lansing, KS, Curtis Cogan of Webbville, KY, Shari (Cogan) Stark of Franklin, IN and Clark Cogan of Franklin, IN, Daniel Mashall of Lima, OH, his grandchildren Christina Wentz (Mykal Hodge), Roger Stark (Kristen), Angela Stark (Shannon Graves), Debbie Cogan, Sara Hildebrand (Jesse), Amy Duke (Chris), Thaddeus Marshall (Justina), Courtney Marshall (Zachary Franz), Rick Cogan, and many others out of state, great-grandchildren John Michael Wentz (Brittany), Matthew Wentz (Anna), Elijah Wentz, Zachariah Wentz, Jaxon Stark, Hunter White, Tinsley Parton, Wyatt Graves, Jesse Hildebrand, Skylar Stark, Aria Ledbetter, Brayden Saulters, Callie Marshall, Tori Bales, Alyssa Bales, Makenna Martin, Kylea Keithley (Isaiah),Kirstin Nugent, Jayson Nugent, DJ Nugent, and Colten Spicer, great-great-grandchildren Marshall Wentz, Aiden Weekly, Julie Wentz, Jacob Wentz, Lliam Williams, Emmett Wentz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a granddaughter Lori Bales, his sister Ginger Rothwell, a brother Richard Marshall and a daughter Rickie Lynn Buck.
Dr. Steven L. Sorensen will conduct a service on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/frankmarshall. Friends may call Thursday, January 8, 2025 from 12 Noon until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN with military honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Greenwood & New Whiteland Honor Guard.
