Bernice "Gail" (Cooper) Craft, 72, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community.  She was born August 1, 1949 in Stockton, Tennessee to the Reverend Barney C. Cooper and Elva Irene (Brannon) Cooper.

She had been a cook at the Franklin United Methodist Community for ten years.

Bernice enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, and spending time with family.

Survivors include her grandchildren Krystyna Castro (Domenic) of Aurora, CO, April Mills (Randall) of Franklin, IN and Matthew Billings of Indianapolis, IN, great grandchildren Giovonie Castro, Adelina Castro, Santino Castro, Clayton Billings, Maria Mills and Alec Billings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Wendy Lynn Howard on May 25, 2021, brothers Chester Cooper and his wife Shirley and Barney Clayton Cooper Jr. and his wife Donna, sisters Flossie Hinds and her husband Bob, Olen Whitehurst and her husband Woody and Flonnie Baker and her husband Art.

Friends may call Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4PM until 8PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN 46131.

Pastor Gary McManus will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 South Old State Road 67, in Muncie, IN.
