Gerald Edward Robertson III, 42, of Greenwood, IN passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

He was born December 6, 1981 in Fort Liberty, North Carolina to Gerald Edward Robertson Jr. and Donna Sue (Fitzgerald) Robertson.

Gerald was a United States Army Veteran of the Iraq War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Armed Forces Reserve with Mobilization Device..

He had been employed by Kroger for sixteen years and as store assistant manager of the State Road 135 and Fairview Road store in Greenwood for the past two years.

Gerald enjoyed playing video games, music, playing in bands, and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his children Alex Robertson, Phoenix Robertson, Aerika Robertson and Juliet Robertson and their mother Carolyn Robertson of Greenwood, IN, his father Gerald Edward Robertson Jr. and stepmother Linda M. Robertson of Beech Grove, IN, his mother Donna Sue (Fitzgerald) Robertson of Rutherfordton, NC, brothers Tyler Hodges of Indianapolis, IN and Travis Hodges (Hannah) of Charleston, IN, his maternal grandmother Lois Horton of Rutherford, NC, paternal grandmother Janice Robertson of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Crystal Bennett (Daniel) of Indianapolis, IN and Alicia Robertson of Rutherfordton, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Alvin Fitzgerald and paternal grandfather Gerald Robertson.

Pastor Sandy McCloskey will conduct a service on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:30AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/geraldrobertson.  Friends may call Monday, June 24, 2024 from 10AM until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
