Obituary

Obituary is forthcoming.

Hildegard "Hilda" Farmer of Franklin, Indiana, passed on April 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy shaped by resilience, hard work, and a life lived across two continents.  She was born on February 8, 1937, in Munich, Germany, where her story began before she eventually made her home in the United States.

Hilda spent many years in Muskegon, Michigan, working with dedication and compassion at Debor Nursing Home.  After moving to Indiana, she continued her strong work ethic at the David R. Webb Company and later at the Quality Inn in Franklin.  No matter the job, Hilda was known for her reliability, her kindness, and the quiet strength she carried with her.

She is survived by her sons Mark (Elia) Farmer of Columbus, Indiana, and Michael (Jessica) Farmer of Columbus, Indiana, as well as eight grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Farmer, with whom she shared many years of life, love, and partnership.
