Holly McArthur Gosser, 79, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born March 4, 1943 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to Hollis Curtis Gosser and Bernice (Gosser) Gosser. He married Sandra Kay (Beers) Gosser on February 1, 1964 in Livingston, Tennessee, she survives.
Holly was a graduate of Russell Springs High School in Russell Springs, KY.
He was a senior vender contact engineer for Rolls Royce and formerly Allison Gas Turbine in Indianapolis for 42 years retiring in 1994.
Holly was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, IN. He was the closest to God while in his garden, was an avid NASCAR fan and alongside his friend Ted Craig, operated a welding garage at the Speedway Indianapolis 500 mile race for the month of May in 1970.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Kay (Beers) Gosser of Greenwood, IN, a son Chad G. Gosser (Tiffany) of Greenwood, IN, a daughter Lisa G. Olson (Pete) of Greenwood, IN, four grandchildren Haley R. Duhamell (Justin) of Nineveh, IN, Dakota M. Taylor (Nathan) of Mooresville, IN, Brooke E. Olson of Indianapolis, IN and Nate E. Olson of Greenwood, IN, a great-grandson due in December 2022, a sister Joan Hatfield of Somerset, KY and a brother Bobby Gosser of Owingsville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sue Hatfield.
Pastor Chris Philbeck will conduct a celebration of life service on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12 Noon at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 381 North Bluff Road, in Greenwood, IN where the family will receive friends from 11AM until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 South East Street, Suite 280, Indianapolis, IN 46202 or at www.jdrf.org/inky .
