Jaclyn "Brooke"
Hilton
February 21, 1983 — February 8, 2022
Franklin
Jaclyn Brooke Hilton of Franklin, IN crossed the veil to her Heavenly Father peacefully on February 8 th , 2022. Brooke was entrusted to an earthly, loving family on Monday, February 21 st 1983 in Murray, Utah. Brooke moved with her family multiple times as a child, enjoying the friendships of her siblings in new locations spanning East and West Coast. Brooke loved to swim as a child and was always the first to get in her swimsuit and goggles and hop into a pool at any temperature. Brooke was a natural, gifted athlete who showcased her skills in softball her whole life. She spent hours pitching to friends, neighbors, grandparents or anyone who would dare sit on top of a plastic bucket and catch her fastball. When she couldn't find anyone to catch for her, she would throw her softball against our house over and over again. She was the star player for Bainbridge High School on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Her talents earned her a scholarship to Southern Virginia University and then to BYU-Hawaii where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work.
To know Brooke was to love her. She was universally loved by her classmates, friends, co-workers, teammates and the students and children she taught and took care of. She had an infectious laugh but also had the ability to connect with kids and people that needed a friend. Children from all backgrounds responded to her when they didn't respond to others. She knew how to love unconditionally and everyone around her could feel how genuine and warm her soul was.
Brooke's strengths on the softball diamond were only second to her testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ. She had a close relationship with Him and her grandparents who have passed before her. Later in life Brooke's body began to fail and the constant pain and suffering began to take an insurmountable toll on her. She struggled for years to feel better and live a normal life but the limits of her mortal body ultimately took her from us. Our family knows, as did Brooke, that she would be welcomed by her Savior and those ancestors that are her guardian angels.
Brooke is survived by her endlessly loving parents, Andy and Deanna (Fallentine) Hilton of Franklin, IN, her brother Brendan Hilton of Indianapolis, IN, brother Chet & Amy Hilton of Frisco, Texas and sister Brittany & Kyle Armstrong of Brownsburg, IN. She's also survived by her adoring nieces and nephews Karlee Geddes of Bountiful, UT, Atlas Hilton of Frisco, Texas, Sophie Armstrong of Brownsburg, IN, Gavin Armstrong of Brownsburg, IN & Maverick Armstrong of Brownsburg, IN.
Our family rejoices in the recent memories together in Heber for Thanksgiving and the time we had to say goodbye to Brooke before she graciously donated her organs to those in need. Even in death, Brooke's legacy lives on with helping others, selfless charity & everlasting, genuine love.
The family would like the Needham Elementary School kids & Hopebridge School children to know how much they meant to Brooke and how much she will miss seeing them grow up. The family would also like to thank the brave first responders who enabled us to be with her in her final hours and the loving hospital staff at Major Health Partners in Shelbyville and Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital in Carmel for their kindness & love during this difficult process.
We love you Brooke, we can't wait to hear your laugh and see your smile again when we get to embrace in your glory.
