Jacquelyn McLary Bradley Stancil passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2026. She was 78 years old.

Jacky was born in Martinsville, Indiana on November 9th, 1947 to James McLary and Yolanda Browning McLary.  Tragically , when Jacky was 18 months old, her mother passed away.   In time, her Dad married Thelma Pogue McLary who lovingly raised Jacky as her own.

She was raised in Morgantown and attended Morgantown School until 8th grade when her family moved outside of Trafalgar and she attended Trafalgar High School.

In 1964, Jacky married Jim Bradley of Trafalgar, and to their union had 4 beautiful children: Lesa Arnold, Ken Bradley, Amy Dougherty and Julie Nicholson. Several years later in November 2001 Jacky married Ray Stancil of Nashville, NC and he lovingly survives.

Jacky loved her family and loved having them around.  She loved anything to do with nature, animals (all kinds), seasons (all of them), watching clouds, sunsets, sunrises, and watching their favorite TV shows with Ray.  They were at their happiest just being at home and raising their adopted kitties.

Jacky attended Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse.  She loved being a nurse and worked many years, initially she retired from Nash General Hosptial in Rocky Mount, NC.  Upon moving back to Indiana in 2011, she started working as the Director of Nursing at Four Seasons Retirement Center in Columbus, Indiana, and retired at the age of 74 in September 2022.  Jacky always made her patients feel well cared for, and she was told often that  her smile always made them feel better.

Jacky was preceded in death  by her Dad,  Mom, both sets of Grandparents and step son, Greg Stancil in May of 2025.

She is survived by her sister Jonny Beeler, her wonderful husband Ray, her amazing children: Lesa Bradley Arnold (Jeff), Ken Bradley (Lisa), Amy Bradley Dougherty (Matt), Julie Bradley Nicholson (Jason), stepdaughter in law Jennifer Stancil.

13 precious Grandkids: Brad Sichting (Brooke), Kyle Bradley (Chelsea). Brandon Sichting (Leah), Lauren Mullis (Adam), Kaleb Bradley (Shalee), Makenzie Marker (Jake), Emily Wilson (Nick), Eric Dougherty, Ethan Dougherty, Jacob Nicholson, Jasmine Nicholson, Taylor Stancil, and Fletcher Stancil.

12 beautiful Great Grandkids: Kennedy, Baylor, Brody and Kolly  Bradley, Emersyn Jo Bradley, Bentley, Bryson and Brinley Kate Sichting, Kinsley and Kendall Sichting, Lance and Nolan Marker, and Kip and Claire Wilson.

At Jacky's request, there will be no services held.  Jacky's family will have a private celebration at a later date.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
