James "Jimmy" Morrell, 56, of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. He was born October 17, 1967 in Mons, Hainaut, Belgium.
He was a member of Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood, IN.
Jimmy worked in Las Vegas, NV for Prime cable as an envelope stuffer and various casinos separating cards. He also worked at the Helen J. Stewart School in Las Vegas on the equine farm and polishing saddles.
Jimmy enjoyed bowling, seeing movies, eating out, spending time with his family and especially his mother Mary Lou.
Survivors include his mother Mary Lou Warminski of Indianapolis, IN, his sister Carolyn Hunter (Patrick Brent) of Indianapolis, IN, a niece Marissa Jensen (David Clay) of Indianapolis, IN, two nephews Noah Hunter of Indianapolis, IN and Lucas Hunter (Brittney York) of Indianapolis, IN, two great-nephews Adrian Jensen and Giovanni Clay, a great-niece Aniya Clay.
He was preceded in death by his father James Stephen Morrell.
Father Stephen G. Giannini will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2PM at Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM until 1:40PM when a rosary service will be conducted followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will take place at the Resurrection Gardens at Sts. Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TANGRAM, 5155 Pennwood Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46205 in honor and memory of James "Jimmy" Morrell.
Arrangements are being handled by Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
