Jane (Dowden) Carson, 83, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by her family.  Jane was a lifelong resident of Greenwood, IN, and a 1958 graduate of Center Grove High School.

She was born December 17, 1939 in Greenwood, IN to Carl and Elizabeth (Day) Dowden.  She met Mickey Carson while working at Farm Bureau Insurance and they were married on February 5, 1961 at the Smith Valley United Methodist Church in Greenwood, IN.

Jane retired from Irwin Union Bank where she was a bank teller in Franklin and Greenwood for many years.  She was a member of Southland Community Church in Greenwood.  Jane loved holidays, spending time with family, and traveling to Hilton Head Island, SC, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and The Christmas Tree Inn in Pigeon Forge, TN.  Her greatest joy was being a wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

Survivors include her husband Mickey Carson of Greenwood, IN, a daughter Debbie Clark of Greenwood, IN, grandchildren Lauren Flory (Chase) of Greenwood, IN, Anthony Clark (Abby) of Greenwood, IN, and Alexis Blackwell (Kyle) of Greenwood, IN, great-grandchildren Colton, Daxton, Ridge Flory and Logyn Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sue Williams and two brothers, Russ Dowden, and Jerry Dowden.

Pastor Kerry Huffman will conduct a service on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 12 Noon at Southland Community Church, 5800 West Smith Valley Road in Greenwood, IN with visitation from 10:00 am until service time at the church.  Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
