Jane Ann (Richey) Dean, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her residence in Franklin, IN. She was born on October 13, 1944 in Whiteland, IN to Harry Jenner Richey and Helen Eleanor (McClaine) Richey.
Jane was a 1962 graduate of Greenwood High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College. She worked several places throughout her life, U.S. Steel, Webb Elementary School, Youth Service Bureau of Franklin and Franklin College until her retirement in 1994.
Jane was an active member of Christian Chapel Church of Morgantown, IN and a former member of Franklin Memorial Christian Church. She was also a member of several organizations; Psi Iota Xi women's philanthropic organization and Ladies Red Hat Society.
Jane also loved to sing and sang in various choirs with Christian Chapel Church choir being the last where she dearly loved every member.
Jane also had a passion for her grandchildren and would often attend their sporting activities and events.
Survivors include her loving husband Griff of 48 years, daughter Michele Boner and son-in-law Todd Boner of Franklin, IN, two grandchildren; Tyler Nelson Boner and Hailey Nicole Boner along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father Harry Jenner Richey; her mother Helen Eleanor (McClaine) Richey; and her brother Robert Eugene Richey.
Pastor Kevin Whitaker will conduct a service on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2pm at Swartz Family Community Mortuary & Memorial Center, 300 South U.S 31 (Morton Street) Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 11AM until the time of service at the mortuary.
A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
