Janice A. (Grubb) Nichols, 86, of Whiteland, IN passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Greenwood Meadows.
She was born July 4, 1937 in Lebanon, Indiana to Robert and Esther M. (Knight) Grubb. She married Richard L. Nichols on June 29, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN; he preceded her in death on May 21, 1991.
She graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis, IN and was a loving homemaker.
Janice had been a member of Whiteland United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending her grandchildren's activities and traveling with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters Cheryl Beeson (Dave) of Greenwood, IN and Rebecca Skirvin (David) of Indianapolis, IN, her grandchildren Jason White, Sean Beeson DO (Sarah Beeson DO), Cory Beeson (Sarah), Justin White and Nate Skirvin (Midori Adams), great-grandchildren Britton White, JJ Beeson, Aurora Beeson, and Oli Beeson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter Deborah Sue White on November 21, 2016 and a granddaughter-in-law Hope White.
The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a service on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 12:30PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/janicenichols. Friends may call Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9AM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
