Jearline "Jerri" (Buster) Williams, 84, of Franklin, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Compass Park in Franklin, IN with her family at her side.
She was born December 26, 1940 in Cub Run, Kentucky to Clellon and Vonnie (VanMeter) Buster. Jerri married James H. "Jim" Williams on May 20, 1961 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, IN; he preceded her in death on June 16, 2025.
Jerri was a 1959 graduate of Franklin High School.
She worked with her husband on the family farm. In addition to her dedication to the farm, she worked for the Johnson County Farm Bureau Co-op/ Premier Ag for 20+ years. After leaving Premier Ag, she worked at the Johnson County Museum in Franklin, IN as a receptionist until retirement.
Jerri enjoyed sewing, cooking, flowers and hosting family gatherings. She was a charter member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, IN, where she served as secretary and a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. where she served on the county board as Woman's Leader, she was the District 8 secretary and treasurer. She was the 1978 District 8 Farm Bureau Inc – Farm Woman of The Year. She was a former 4-H leader of the Shiloh Mix-N-Match 4-H Club. In 1993, she and her family were awarded the Johnson County Farm Family of the year.
Survivors include her children Fred Williams (Belinda) of Franklin, IN, David Williams (Julie) of Franklin, IN, Karen Jones (Randy) of Franklin, IN and Steve Williams (Susan) of Franklin, IN, grandchildren Scott Williams (Holly) of Pendleton, IN, Sarah Williams (Justin Waldrip) of Greenfield, IN, Adam Jordan (Emilee) of Franklin, IN, Bryan Williams of Indianapolis, Parker Williams of Indianapolis, Matt Jordan of Bargersville, IN, Zach Hart (Megan) of Franklin, IN, Becca Wagner (Steven) of Phoenix, AZ, Ethan Whitaker (Yarley) of Carmel, IN, great grandchildren Miley Williams, Stetson Williams, Madeline Jordan, Mason Jordan, Wade Wagner, Sterling Hart and her brother Robert "Bob" Buster of Salina, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-granddaughter Meredith Alaine Jordan, brothers Randall Buster and Clellon Buster Jr.
The family wants to express a heartfelt thank you to caregivers Diana and Nicole, Luminary Hospice, and Compass Park.
Pastor Mike Crockett will conduct a service on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 10:30AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/jearlinewilliams.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
