Jeffrey A.
Parish
August 25, 1961 — July 16, 2025
Nineveh
Jeffrey Alan Parish, 63, of Nineveh, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Born August 25, 1961, in Beech Grove to Ronald and Portia Parish, Jeff was a proud 1980 graduate of Franklin Community High School. On June 25, 2004, he married Julie (Carpenter) Parish, and together they shared a life full of love, laughter, and strong family ties.
Jeff was a loving husband, a devoted dad and grandpa, a good friend, and a great brother. He was someone you could count on—fiercely loyal, deeply caring, and known for his sense of humor and quick wit. While he could be quiet at times, he also had a larger-than-life personality and a gift for storytelling. His tales often began with "I tell you what," and were filled with colorful phrases only Jeff could come up with—like warning his kids they'd get a "chop to the goiker" or saying "Imma pepper them jibs."
A true outdoorsman, Jeff was an incredibly skilled hunter and fisherman. Those who spent time with him in the woods or on the water were constantly amazed by his instincts and success. He loved music—especially playing his guitar—and found joy in simple pleasures: going out for breakfast, hosting cookouts, playing cards (especially euchre), and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a great cook and always added a little something extra to make a meal special.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Julie; his mother, Portia; his children: Alan Parish (Allysa), Daniel Parish (Mary), Amanda Hoff (Anthony), and Samantha Norris; his brother, Ben Parish; his grandchildren: Alina Parish, Peyton Burris, Noah Burris, Kyrie Parish, Cade Goff, Carter Goff, Clara Goff, Brock Goff, Corinne Nungester, and Baine Nungester; great-grandchildren Sunny Hurst and Jasper Hurst; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and his beloved son, Andy Parish.
