Joanne Marie (Matthews) Miller, 94, of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 surrounded by her family.

She was born June 25, 1930 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Paul Rex Matthews and Maria Christine (Kline) Matthews.  She married Thomas A. Miller June 19, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN; he preceded her in death on December 23, 2018.

Joanne had been a plant manager for Parish Manufacturing and previously had worked at Highgrade Meat Packing Company both in Indianapolis, IN.

She was a member of Risen Lord Lutheran Church in Bargersville, IN.

Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Terry Allen Miller (Karen) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Stanley P. Miller (Theresa) of Jamestown, IN, Barbra S. Meek (Victor) of Shelbyville, IN, and Steven E. Miller (Lois) of Boggstown, IN; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Donald Matthews, Bob Matthews, Danny Matthews, Timothy Matthews and a sister Marjorie McKee.

Reverend Wendy D. Kalan will conduct a service on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/joannemiller.  Friends may call Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 10AM until service time at the mortuary.

Burial will follow the service at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN.
