Juliet J.
Nesbit
January 11, 1962 — August 28, 2025
Martinsville
It is with a shattered heart that we share the news of our sweet mom's passing.
Juliet January Nesbit was born on January 11, 1962, to her father David Nesbit (deceased) and mother, Julia. From that moment on she made life magic for everyone she loved. More than anything, she loved her children: Keeley, Jared, and Jenika. For the last three years she took a special joy in being a Gigi.
Mom was the good girl of Tom Petty fame- she loved her momma, loved Jesus, and America too. She was crazy about Elvis. She loved a cup of black coffee, a cigarette, a good deal, and a day in the sun.
Mom's intelligence and work ethic were unmatched. Through these traits, countless all nighters, and a lot of support from her family, she put herself through nursing school. Throughout her career, Mom brought peace and comfort to every patient she saw. She was truly an angel on this earth.
She is survived by her mother, Julia (Fox) Vickers, her stepfather Hugh Vickers, and her brothers Andrew Nesbit and David Nesbit. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Lori, and nieces Betsy, Piper, and Drew. Her children and granddaughter carry on her legacy: Keeley (Freddie) and Miriam Waters, Jared Burgess, and Jenika Burgess.
A celebration of life is forthcoming. In lieu of condolences or flowers, please call your representatives and demand affordable, equitable healthcare for all. And don't forget your lipstick and earrings.
