Justin Owen Michael Qualls, 35, of Greenwood, IN passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022.

He was born July 10, 1986 in Franklin, IN.

Justin was a 2005 graduate of Franklin Community High School and a 2013 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, IN with an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice.

He had been a Johnson County juvenile correctional officer at the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center for seven years.

He was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues over the years, enjoyed baseball and competing in various marathon's including the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.  Justin was a long-time and loyal fan the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Survivors include his grandmother Judith (Phillips) Johnson Charles of Franklin, IN, a brother James Qualls of Shelbyville, IN, his father Harold Qualls of Franklin, IN and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Teresa L. (Johnson) Qualls on November 14, 2015 and his maternal grandfather Ronald Johnson.

The Reverend Cleon Wright will conduct a service on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN with visitation from 10AM until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
