He was a spirited presence in any room and gave wonderful bear hugs. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed fishing as well as caring for the beautiful and tranquil home/property he created with his wife.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father Russell Shanafelt, father-in-law Leroy Skaggs, and a nephew John Shanafelt.
The family would like to give special thanks to daughter-in-law Katie Shanafelt, for her incredible selflessness in the last weeks of Kenny's life, moving in to be full time caregiver so Pam could continue working, and giving the family peace of mind knowing he was well cared for and able to be at home. Katie, our appreciation for your sacrifice and caring kindness could never be fully expressed. We are eternally grateful.
