Kent Allen Thompson was born on April 14, 1938, in Celina, TN, and he passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Celina Health and Rehab at the age of 86.  He was a lifelong residence of the Pea Ridge Community.

Kent was married to the love of his life Irine Thompson who passed away May 3, 2024. He was known for being a diesel mechanic and was a jack of all trades.  Kent was also a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife: Irine Thompson; brothers: Fred Thompson, Ned Thompson, Neville Thompson, Harmie Thompson; sisters: Opal Davis and Annie Sherrell.

Survivors include his sons: Kenny Thompson of Indiana, Jack Thompson of Indiana, and Tony Thompson of Indiana; daughter: Shirley Driver of Indiana; sisters: Martha Rush of Celina, TN, Carolyn Kennedy of Indiana; grandchildren: Lindsey Thompson, Paul Driver, Mitchell Thompson, Danielle Thompson, Makayla Thompson, Colton Thompson, Kimber Thompson, and Candance Rife; great grandchildren: Emery Marie Driver.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Clay County Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Adams officiating.  Graveside Service will be conducted by Pastor BIll Turner on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
