Kevin Jay Coy, 66, of Whiteland, IN and lifelong Johnson County resident went home to his heavenly father on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born August 3, 1959 in Franklin, IN to Kenneth Lowell Coy and Patricia Ann (Sleeth) Coy. He married Sandra Ann "Sandy" (Baughn) Coy on September 5, 1992 at First Christian Church in Bargersville, IN, she survives.
Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Center Grove High School.
He retired in 2022 from Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis as a senior technician in the small molecule design and development department after thirty years. He previously had worked at Clark Elementary School for the Clark Pleasant Community School Corporation as a custodian.
Kevin was a member of the Community Church of Greenwood.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, playing cards and spending time with family. Kevin was a lifelong Purdue fan.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Ann "Sandy" (Baughn) Coy of Whiteland, IN, his children Laura A. Wilson (Jerry) of Franklin, IN, Matthew A. Coy of Trafalgar, IN, James A. Vandiver (June) of Rome City, IN, Scott E. Vandiver (April) of Studio City, CA and Michelle A. Oldham of Greenwood, IN, a sister Cathy Pittman (David) of Greenwood, IN, a brother David Coy (Jessica) or Franklin, IN, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his stepmother Alberta Coy of Lake Wales, FL.
His parents preceded him in death.
Pastor Bill Turner will conduct a service on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 3PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/kevincoy. Friends may call Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 1PM until service time at the mortuary.
