Larry P. Wood, 82, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, IN.

He was born June 21, 1941 in Sonora, Kentucky to Paul and Margaret "Maggie" (Combs) Wood.  He married Patti Sue (Priddy) Wood, she preceded him in death on January 12, 2023.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran.

He had a wide range of jobs over the years including serving as a hospital orderly, homebuilder, RV sales representative, automobile sales representative, restaurant-bar owner and finally a perfume storeowner.

He was a member of the Franklin Elks Lodge #1818.

Survivors include his daughter Jill A. Lawrence (John) of Carmel, IN, a grandson Park Andrew Lawrence at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, brothers Charles Wood (Pat) of Clearwater, FL and Robert Wood (Sue) of Franklin, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers Karl Wood and George Wood.

Pastor Bill Turner will conduct a celebration of life service on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 3PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com.  Friends may call from 2PM until service time at the mortuary.
