Leah Rene' (Rose) Gabbei, 59, of Franklin, IN passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

She was born March 6, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN.

Leah attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN.

She was a loving homemaker with a warm and caring heart.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and painting.

Leah was like a second mother to her siblings, nieces and nephews, always there with support and love.

She married Jesse Gabbei on February 11, 1989 in Indianapolis, IN.  He survives along with Rebecca Martin and Mikayla Matthews.  Also surviving is her mother Betty Dean (Lair) Sullivan of Terre Haute, IN, her brother David Rose of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Leslie Mitchell (Mickey) of Indianapolis, IN and Kyla "Hoppy" Locke of Franklin, IN, eight nieces and nephews, eight great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces.

Her father David Max Rose preceded her in death.

Leah will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely.

A service will be conducted on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/leahgabbei.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 4PM until 7PM at the mortuary.

Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
