Linda Jean (Eads) Mabe, 74, of Franklin, IN passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 30, 1950 in Bloomington, IN to Vacil and Betty (Richardson) Eads.  Linda married John Mabe Jr. on November 25, 1970 in Bloomington, IN, he preceded her in death on April 6, 2013.  John and Linda met on a blind date and the blind dated lasted for 45 years.

Linda had worked at RCA in Bloomington, IN for two years later coming to Indianapolis having been a server at Mr. Dan's restaurant in Beech Grove on Raymond St. and Sherman Ave., Waffle House on Troy Ave and Madison Ave., Southern Bowl in Greenwood, and  the catering division at Valla Vista Country Club in Greenwood, IN.  She later worked at Specialty Connector in Franklin, IN and her and her late husband John worked for May's Flower Shop in Franklin for five years where they truly loved working together.

Survivors include her three children Nancy Gill (Johnny) of Greenwood, IN, Anthony Mabe (Jennifer) of Franklin, IN and Janice McKinney of Whiteland, IN, six grandchildren Coty Jacob Mabe, Casey Lane Mabe, Kayla Lynn Belton, Cole Allen Belton, Auston Michael McKinney and Amber, five great-grandchildren McKenna Pfleeger, Bentley and Mercedes Gill, Conner and Marie, two brothers Burton Eads (Beverly) of Milton, Iowa and Gary Eads of Solesberry, IN, ex son-in-laws David McKinney and Doug Belton and ex daughter-in-law Alice, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vacil and Betty (Richardson) Eads, a brother Terry Eads, grandparents Cecil and Dolly (Deckard) Eads, and Robert and Marie (Richardson) McElfresh.

Dennis Carnes and Tim Age will conduct a service on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/lindamabe.  Friends may call Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
