Lowell H. Andry, 83, of Franklin, IN, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at Astral of Franklin, IN. He was born March 19, 1942 in Birdseye, IN to William Herman Andry and Alma (Wright) Andry. He married Linda Kay (Higgins) on December 22, 1961 in Bloomington, IN. She survives.
He retired after 33 years of service at Yellow Freight Trucking Co. in 1998 as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #135. He joined the Indiana Freemasons in March 1974, Clayton Lodge #463. In April, 1983, he earned 32nd degree from Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. On May 18, 2025, he received his 50-year pin.
Survivors include his wife Linda K. Andry of Franklin, IN, son Randolph H. Andry (Micheal) of Franklin, IN, grandson Derrick H. Andry (Kaela) of Franklin, IN, granddaughters Charisse N. Elliott (Jacob) of Monrovia, IN, Krystal D. Andry (Brent) of Danville, IN, four great-grandchildren, Ava, Adaline, Macy Elliott, August Andry, and a sister, Lora Gibson of Bradenton, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Sondra K. Andry, brothers Kevin Bailey, Noel Andry, Allen Andry, Larry Andry, and a sister Janice Goldman.
A masonic service by Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #162 will conducted at 3PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN with a celebration of life service to immediately follow being conducted by Pastor Bill Turner. Friends may call Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM until time of service at the mortuary,
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Andry Cemetery in Birdseye, IN.
