Edinburgh
Lynette Elizabeth (Glick) Andrews, 88, of Franklin, IN passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Compass Park in Franklin, IN.
She was born September 5, 1936 in Edinburgh, IN to Mitchell and Ada (Newby) Glick.
Lynette was a 1954 graduate of Edinburgh High School and a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing in 1958.
She had served as a registered nurse at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. She also served as a registered nurse for Dr.'s Andrews, Bullington, Stogsdill and Reynolds.
Lynette enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking, book reading and adored her rescue dog Harry. Lynette was always up for a new challenge, including learning how to golf later in life as well as snow skiing. She enjoyed several trips to ski with her brother and his wife in the Alps even! Lynette was known to be the perfect hostess as well; she truly enjoyed being with her family and friends. She also had a well-known stubborn streak! Everyone got to see more of that as her dementia increased, or as it was termed, her "spicy"! The staff at both Astral of Franklin and then Compass Park loved her spicy, saying it helped make her one of their favorite residents.
Survivors include her daughters Lisa E. Riley of Indianapolis, IN, Laura L. Hoover (Marty) of Kent, OH and Amy L. Bereznoff (Doug) of Jackson, MI, her grandchildren Hayden Riley, Emma Coakley (Sam), Nicole Ohman (Joe) and Deven Bereznoff, and a great-grandchild, Damian Ohman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Hugh Andrews, a brother Robert Glick and former spouse Don Holloway.
