Margaret Ann (Lewis) Rainey, 93, of Franklin, IN passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Compass Park at the Indiana Masonic Home.

She was born January 14, 1933 in Greenwood, IN to Worley and Edna Hurley (Miller) Lewis, Margaret married William Virgil Rainey on April 19, 1952 in Franklin, IN, he preceded her in death on December 5, 1992.

Margaret was a loving homemaker and had worked at Rothschild's Department Store in Franklin, IN.

She was a longtime member of Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood, IN where she had been a Sunday school teacher, served in the nursery, and a member of the Golden Group of the church.  In addition, every month, she would meet with the gang for dinner.

Survivors include her daughters Vickie Broshears of Franklin, IN and Candy Hash (Dennis) of Franklin, IN, her three grandchildren Chris Broshears (Danielle) of Greenwood, IN, Jeffrey Hash (Kristen) of Pittsburg, PA and Kayla Kuntz (John) of Shelbyville, IN, great-grandchildren Anderson Broshears, Emerson Broshears, Juliana Hash, Isabella Hash, Emily Kuntz and Lewis Kuntz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her infant son Steven Lewis Rainey, her two brothers Clive Lewis and Frank Lee Lewis.

A private service will be conducted with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
