Marilyn J. (Carman) Linard, 92, of Franklin, IN passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community in Franklin, IN.

She was born in Barberton, Ohio to Frank H. Carman and Gertrude (Young) Carman.   She married George F. Linard in 1952 in Chevy Chase, MD; he preceded her in death in 1979.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sharon Linard Levick, and brother Frank H. Carman.

Marilyn was a member of the Community Church of Greenwood, IN and Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Greenfield, IN and dedicated teacher for the Indianapolis Public Schools.   In addition to her Bible study church activities, she loved to travel, including trips to Israel, Africa, and Europe. For years Otterbein Franklin knew her as the person who walked every day through the campus with her dogs, making friends of staff and residents alike.

Survivors include her son Gary Linard and daughter-in-law Peggy Linard, son Jack Linard and daughter-in-law Patricia Linard, her daughter Susan Linard Debullet and son-in-law Julian Debullet, plus 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:30 am, with a time of gathering and visitation at 11 am, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Wright Chapel at Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community, 1070 West Jefferson Street, Franklin, IN 46131.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
