Marilyn Ruth (Schnell) Memmer, 82, of Franklin, IN passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.

She was born May 20, 1943 in the Congo of Africa to Russell Fred Schnell and Helen (Yoder) Schnell.  Marilyn married Jerry James Memmer, he survives.

Marilyn had been a registered nurse at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin for 40 years.

She was a member of Hurricane Community Church.

Marilyn enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include her husband Jerry James Memmer of Franklin, IN, two sons Tony Mark Memmer of Lebanon, IN and Timothy W. Memmer of Franklin, IN, her sister Evelyn Moler (Roger) of Springfield, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carolyn Yost.

Pastor Dan McLaughlin will conduct a celebration of life memorial service on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 12 Noon at Hurricane Community Church, 4592 North Hurricane Road, Franklin, IN with visitation from 10AM until service time at the church.  The service will be livestreamed at https://youtube.com/live/US02ZhrcqcI?feature=share .

Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
