Mark E. Brown, 71, a life-long resident of Franklin, Johnson County, IN passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born September 16, 1953 in Franklin, IN to Fred and Ruth (Snepp) Brown.

Mark was a 1973 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

Mark enjoyed farming, selling seed corn, visiting with friends and sharing stories of his dog Waylon.

Mark is survived his closest friends Kimberly Richard, Varonnica Perkin, James Markey, Leonard Allen, and his wife Agnes.

Other survivors include his brother David Brown and his wife Gail of Franklin, IN, his uncle John Snepp and his wife Barbara of Southport, IN, a niece Erin Slevin (Ryan) of Franklin, IN and their children Addie and Emily Slevin, two nephews Matt Brown and Mike Brown (Ashley) and their children Krista and Jay, a step-nephew Brian Spencer (Libby) and their children Drew and Abby, a brother-in-law Greg Robuck of Bradenton, FL and a cousin Garry Brown of Rush County, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ruth (Snepp) Brown, a sister Carolyn Robuck, his aunts and uncles Hubert and Marie Brown, Lawrence and Twanett Brown, Dale and Louise Snepp, George and Pat Snepp, his cousin Richard Snepp and his favorite dog Waylon.

A service will be conducted this coming spring.

Mark has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or at www.cancer.org.
