Mark Allen Parsley, 61, of Sarasota, FL and formerly of Trafalgar, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Tampa, FL.
A beloved dad, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Mark touched so many lives with his sense of humor, beautiful smile, passion and his drive. His love for his daughters, mother, siblings and grandkids was beyond words. Everyone was a friend and no one was ever a stranger to Mark.
Mark was born on March 16, 1964 in Franklin, IN to the late Larry Parsley and his mother Margaret (Park) Parsley of Sarasota, FL. He graduated from Franklin Community High School. He had worked for Hydro Fire for many years before starting his own business. He then moved to Florida and started a new career with Manatee County Government.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Ruby. He also loved fishing, boating, growing and selling sweet corn, building things, and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed his trips with his best friend Steve Stropes.
Mark is survived by his loving daughters Megan Love (Steve) of Franklin, IN and Andrea Parsley of Franklin, IN, his grandchildren Samantha Love, Aubree Love, Greyson Love, Camden Litton and Everly Dye, his mother Margaret (Park) Parsley of Sarasota, FL, his brother Mike Parsley (Karen) of Sheridan, IN and his sister Diann Parsley of Nokomis, FL.
His father Larry Parsley and niece Kayla Diann (Bray) Reynolds preceded him in death.
Pastor Darryl Bolen will conduct a celebration of life memorial service on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 3PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/markparsley. Friends may call Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1PM until service time at the mortuary.
Inurnment will take place at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
