Michael Wilford Lau, 91, of Franklin, IN and formerly of Bloomington, IN, Kalamazoo, MI and York, PA passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Indiana Masonic Home at Compass Park in Franklin, IN.

He was born November 9, 1933 in Spring Grove, PA to Wilford Eugene Lau and Elsie Estella (Fair) Lau.  He married Paula (Evert) Lau; she preceded him in death on June 30, 2016.

Mr. Lau was a graduate of Gettysburg College.

He retired from the state of Pennsylvania as a tax auditor and was an avid genealogist, publishing two books on his family history.

Mr. Lau was a member of Patmos Masonic Lodge #348 in Hanover, PA, the Scottish Rite and Shrine.

He was a United State Air Force Veteran.

Survivors include his daughters Jen Lau (Jason Winters) of Bloomington, IN and Patricia Cornett (Wade) of York, PA, his grandchildren Ben Winters, Zach Winters, Adrienne Cornett and Devin Cornett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and sisters Grace Hawk and Mary Kolva.

Services are private.
