Obituary

Michael "Mike" Bordenkecher, 66, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on March 30, 2026.

He was born on February 1, 1960, in Marion County, Indiana, to Fred and Mona (Neuerman) Bordenkecher. He was preceded in death by his father; his infant sister, Susan; his brother, Mark Bordenkecher; and his cousin, Steve Neuerman.

Mike is survived by his loving mother, Mona (Bordenkecher) Caho; his children, Corey (Marcela) Bordenkecher and Holly (Hugo) Morales; and his six cherished grandchildren, Austin, Mason, Brianna, and Kianna Morales, and Liam and Oliver Bordenkecher. He is also survived by his siblings, Matthew (Debra) Bordenkecher of Omaha, Nebraska; Ann (Jim) Hamilton of

Springville, Indiana; and Fred "Joe" (Debby) Bordenkecher of Martinsville, Indiana, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mike graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and later earned a vocational degree in machinery from Ivy Tech Community College.

He dedicated more than 17 years of service to Central Supply Company in Indianapolis and also took pride in managing and maintaining several rental properties.

Mike appreciated the simple things in life. When he wasn't working, he could often be found restoring his beloved 1955 Chevy Bel Air. Above all, he treasured time with his grandchildren attending their sporting events, fishing, taking road trips, and sharing life lessons that will continue to guide them.
